ION ITM/PTTI 2023 abstracts due October 7

Abstracts for ION ITM/PTTI 2023 are due Friday, October 7.

Submit your abstract for the Institute of Navigation’s (ION) combined International Technical Meeting (ITM) and the Precise Time and Time Interval (PTTI) Systems and Applications Meeting 2023. The co-located conferences will take place January 23-26 at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach, Long Beach, California. Both in-person and virtual presentation options will be available.

The International Technical Meeting (ITM), is is the ION’s winter meeting, with technical papers related to positioning, navigation and timing and includes the ION Fellows and Annual Awards presentations.

The Precise Time and Time Interval Systems and Applications (PTTI) meeting is an annual conference sponsored by ION with a technical program designed to disseminate and coordinate PTTI information at the user level, review present and future PTTI requirements, inform government and industry engineers, technicians, and managers of precise time and frequency technology and its problems, and provide an opportunity for an active exchange of new technology associated with PTTI.

ITM/PTTI 2023 call for abstracts now open

ION is now accepting abstracts for the co-located 2023 International Technical Meeting (ITM) and Precise Time and Time Interval (PTTI) Systems and Applications Meeting. The co-located conferences will take place January 23-26, 2023 at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach, in Long Beach, California.

ION strongly encourages authors to present in-person in Long Beach. Authors will be given the option at the point of abstract submission to submit for “in-person presentation with video presentation for remote viewers” or “virtual presentation only.”

The Precise Time and Time Interval Systems and Applications (PTTI) meeting is an annual conference sponsored by ION with a technical program designed to disseminate and coordinate PTTI information at the user level, review present and future PTTI requirements, inform government and industry engineers, technicians, and managers of precise time and frequency technology and its problems, and provide an opportunity for an active exchange of new technology associated with PTTI.

ION’s winter meeting, the International Technical Meeting (ITM), is a more intimate conference with a technical program related to positioning, navigation and timing and includes the ION Fellows and Annual Awards presentations.

Royal Institute of Navigation issues call for papers for Navigation 2021 conference
The Royal Institute of Navigation (RIN) has issued a call for papers for the Navigation 2021 conference.

The conference, which as of now will be held virtually Nov. 15-18, 2021, will bring together experts from industry, research institutions, government agencies and investors whose primary goal is to work together for a more navigable world, RIN said. Conference themes will include PNT systems and technology, robust PNT, PNT applications, animal and human navigation, and navigation in society.

The November 2021 event will unite two established conferences: the International Navigation Conference and the European Navigation Conference.

RIN is accepting papers in the following categories:
- Peer-reviewed: Abstracts and, if accepted, papers will be peer reviewed and published to be indexed and searchable. Presentations will be invited in a parallel technical session at the conference.
- Presentation: Abstracts will be reviewed and, if accepted, submitters will be invited to present their work in a parallel session at the conference.
- Poster: Abstracts will be reviewed and, if accepted, posters will be displayed in the exhibition hall. RIN plans to encourage delegate interaction through poster presentations during the networking sessions.
The best peer-reviewed papers will be invited to submit for consideration to be published in the Journal of Navigation, RIN added.

Navigation 2021 will take place as a virtual conference. According to RIN, it will review the situation in 2021 and if possible run an in-person element to compliment the conference.

Papers sought for IGNSS conference in Sydney
The call for papers is now open for IGNSS 2016, set for Dec. 6-8 in Sydney, Australia. Closing date for abstract submission is July 4; and the final date for the submission of papers requiring peer review is Sept. 26.

The International GNSS Society (IGNSS) runs the Southeast Asian region’s premier conference on GNSS and related position, navigation and timing (PNT) technologies. It will bring together leaders in GNSS and PNT to examine the latest technology, present cutting-edge research and discuss in open forums the implications for policy, market development and positioning infrastructure deployment.

IGNSS 2016 will showcase a number of contemporary topics including, the role of PNT in automated land and aerial vehicles, the growing range of commercial precise positioning services, hard infrastructure issues such as space based augmentation systems, and soft infrastructure issues such as datum modernization and mitigation of system vulnerabilities. These hot topics will be discussed in the context of the latest system developments fueling the multi-GNSS era.
