    2022 Public Interface Control forum set for Sept. 28

    The 2022 Public Interface Control Working Group and Open Public Forum will take place virtually on Sept. 28, the U.S. Air Force has announced. It is hosted by Space Systems Command, Military Communications and Positioning, Navigation, Timing Directorate.

    The following NAVSTAR GPS public documents will be discussed:

    • IS-GPS-200 (Navigation User Interfaces)
    • IS-GPS-705 (User Segment L5 Interfaces)
    • IS-GPS-800 (User Segment L1C Interface)
    • ICD-GPS-870 (Control Segment [OCX] to User Support Interface).

    The Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center has published minutes for the 2020 Public Interface Control Working Group (PICWG) and Open Public Forum help on Sept. 30, 2020, for the following NAVSTAR GPS public documents:

    • IS-GPS-200 (Navigation User Interfaces)
    • IS-GPS-705 (User Segment L5 Interfaces)
    • IS-GPS-800 (User Segment L1C Interface)
    • ICD-GPS-240 (NAVSTAR GPS Control Segment to User Support Community Interfaces).

    The meetings were held to update the public and collect issues and comments for analysis and possible integration into future GPS public document revisions, according to the U.S. Coast Guard Navigation Center (CGSIC).

    On Sept. 25, the GPS Directorate will host the 2019 Public Interface Control Working Group and Open Forum to update the public on GPS public document revisions.

    The meeting will collect issues and comments for analysis and possible integration into future GPS public document revisions.

    The 2019 Public Interface Control Working Group and Open Forum are open to the general public. It can be attended in person or by dial-in connection.

  • GPS Directorate requests additional public comment

    Following the 2018 Public Interface Control Working Group (ICWG) in September, the GPS Directorate invites additional public comments on the following Proposed Interface Revision Notices (PIRNs) due to the nature of changes since the June 2018 review.

    The documents are available in the Public ICWG section of GPS.gov.
