  • TeeJet Offers GNSS Guidance System for Precision Ag

Teejet-Matrix430The TeeJet Matrix 430 is a low-cost GNSS guidance system featuring a graphical, touchscreen user interface that allows for fast setup and intuitive operation. The system is designed for a wide range of field applications including spraying, spreading, tillage and solid seeding.

The Matrix 430 features a 4.3-inch/110-mm high-contrast, full-color display for excellent visibility, even in bright light conditions, TeeJet said. It contains an integral GNSS receiver that supports both GPS and GLONASS signals with a choice of two available antennas for enhanced performance in a wide range of geographies.

Other features include: return-to-point, coverage mapping, field area measurement, applied area alert, elapsed time counter, simple job reporting, and a choice of four guidance modes: Straight AB, Curved AB, Center Pivot, and Last Pass.

Teejet-Matrix430-2“The Matrix 430 builds upon our highly successful and proven CenterLine 220 guidance product while providing an enhanced user interface and expanded capabilities,” said Tim Stuenkel, global marketing manager with TeeJet Technologies. “This product is designed for the grower who wants a simple, affordable guidance system — whether they are a first time buyer or experienced user of GNSS guidance products.”

TeeJet Technologies manufactures a comprehensive line of products including agricultural spray nozzles for various pesticide/fertilizer applications, boom components, valves/manifolds, strainers, and spray guns, as well as GPS guidance systems, sprayer control systems, ISOBUS job computers, assisted steering systems and other precision farming products. The new RX520 dual-frequency GNSS receiver from TeeJet Technologies brings reliable, upgradable accuracy and performance to precision farming applications, TeeJet said. It features an integrated L1/L2 GPS+GLONASS receiver and antenna in a single compact enclosure. Integral magnetic mounting allows for a clean, low-profile installation.

All RX520 receivers include ClearPath technology, which ensures smooth, consistent position data even if brief signal losses occur. The standard L1/L2 SBAS receiver offers +/- 5-8 in pass-to-pass accuracy for a wide variety of field operations. Optional precise point positioning (PPP) provides improved +/- 2-4 in pass-to-pass accuracy and year-to-year repeatability, making it suitable for strip-till and other high-precision operations. PPP accuracy is delivered via TerraStar subscription signal and is offered in 1-, 3-, 6- and 12-month packages.

“This is a very versatile receiver that is compatible with TeeJet and many third-party guidance and auto steer products,” said Tim Stuenkel, global marketing manager with TeeJet Technologies. “Another great feature is the ability to pay for only the accuracy you need today, with the flexibility to upgrade to higher performance down the road as your needs change.”

  • Leica Geo, TeeJet Pair Up for Ag Market Efforts

Leica Geosystems and TeeJet Technologies have embarked on a partnership in which TeeJet will distribute Leica’s No-Drift mojoRTK auto-steer system under its own label, adding RTK-accuracy guidance to TeeJet’s suite of precision agriculture products.

Under the same agreement Leica will capitalize on TeeJet Technologies’ range of vehicle-specific assisted steering kits to increase the number of tractors the mojoRTK can steer, the companies said. The list of kits offered by TeeJet currently tops more than 50 individual kits, designed to fit approximately 150 individual vehicle models. Initially, Leica will offer TeeJet vehicle kits through its network of resellers, according to the company.

The companies also plan to work together to develop additional products for the agriculture market.

Leica’s Virtual Wrench technology, which provides remote service and support, will also be expanded to support products for both companies, allowing technicians from both companies to provide customers with on-demand service and support, according to the companies.
