LaCoste and Romberg Relative Gravimeter. LaCoste and Romberg (L&R) relative land, air/sea, borehole, and tidal gravimeters have been manufactured by LaCoste and Romberg Gravity Meters, Inc. since 1959. The company later merged into Micro-g LaCoste, Inc., and the LaCoste land gravimeters were discontinued. Unlike the Scintrex gravimeters, these rely on metal zero-length-springs.
